FBMessenger is an application for Facebook Messenger on the Linux platform , and It is very similar to the official Facebook Messenger which is  available to Windows users .

This is not an official application from the company , but was created by the developer of Facebook. The application comes with some features :

- Chat with your friends on Facebook in a separate window with tabs for each conversation .
- Notifications and friend requests .
- Updates from friends.
- Alerts pop up on the desktop of the notices ( only when the chat is on ) .

Also : If you turn off the chat and then Logged in using FBMessenger it will not turn into a chat , as all of the program Pidgin and Empathy do.
